I always enjoy my experience here. I recommend especially going on a Wednesday (I think!) when they have a fantastic pianist playing.
Waiting staff very pleasant but one of our servers in need of training, twice dumping an unopened bottle of wine on our table. The pate was a strange colour. My friend ate it (with no ill effect) . I would have sent it back if it had been mine. He ordered breast of duck ( 14) and was served a leg which has a different texture and very little meat. The stroganoff was a little mean with the meat. The onion rings were soft but the steak was excellent. Nicepub. Friendly atmosphere.
Lovely old style pub with lots of character. Food was superb and a good selection of drinks available. Havent been there for years before this visit. It wont be so long next time!
Only discovered this great pub and restaurant recently and wondered why we have not been before. Loved it. Great ambience. The menu is terrific and staff cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended.
